Welcome to IBI Art Gallery. A IBI Art x Digital Fold project.
Isa Schwartz Gesseau describes herself a teacher, art trader and “passionista”. Coming from a very commercial background from parents that taught her skills in holding the space and selling she found her passion in teaching and promoting the arts . She has been working in community with Valued Citizens’ Initiative for over 14 years while running her own art school and supporting the arts exhibiting art works at the Alliançe Francaise in Johannesburg for the past 15 years. She enjoys finding new and exciting expression in any of the art form mediums and supporting artists to promote and sell their work.
Isa met Digital Fold owner, Riche four years ago and Riche was booked to perform & DJ for for her at her 50th Birthday function. A year later the two entrepreneurs created “The Flock Festival” in down town Johannesburg. Fast forward, Covid hit South Africa in 2020 and Isa approached Riche to create her on line teaching platform www.ibiartschool.co.za as he had started a new business Digital Fold media creating on line businesses for a number of clients, and this sparked a new online business idea.
Riche launched his online business during Covid forming Digital Fold Agency. Locked away in his room at home the new business was created and it has been incredibly successful. With Isa’s love for art, and Riche’s passion for Digital Marketing, the two decided to create this new platform, iBi Art Gallery in an online space to promote the arts and to offer a platform for up and coming and more established artists to sell their art online and make a living during these tough online times.
